3rd Global Mobility Contest 2017, Belgium

Theme:

 AUTONOMOUS BUSSES

Conditions:

-All persons 18 years of age and older are eligible to participate in this international contest. Participants declare to agree to the terms and conditions of the regulations, and the decisions of the juries. Belgian law governing withholding tax on prizes won by foreign participants applies. Participation is free of charge

-A cartoon is a humorous drawing. This includes a caricature of a famous person, a parody of a real situation or simply an image of a funny situation. The cartoon can consist of one image or take the form of a short comic strip. The cartoon can be static (drawn) or moving (animated using a computer)

-Drawn cartoons, maximum 5 submissions. The cartoons may not contain text. They may not have been exhibited or awarded in any country. Drawings should be sent digitally

-Participation is valid only if your date of birth has been filled in and the form has been signed. The back of each cartoon must indicate: last name, first name
Submission is at the expense of the participants

-By participating, participants grant the organising body the right to use their submissions as advertising for the "Global B&C Cartoon Festival" and the seaside resort Knokke-Heist, (e.g. as cartoon book, catalogue, advertising in the press and other media, separate promotional printed works such as posters, leaflets etc., promotional gifts by the city council and/or photo festival organisation, calendar)

Prizes:

First prize is 500 Euro
Second prize is 250 Euro
Third prize is 100 Euro

:Conditions

-Cartoonists who will participate in the contest may participate with max. 5 cartoons related to the theme

-The works to be submitted should be in JPG format, maximum 5 MB, which will be 300 dpi at most and at A3 (29.7 x 42 cm) size

-Contestants will send their short biographies, contact information and a photograph with their works to the address of Culture and Social Affairs of Yıldırım Municipality: Barış Manço Kültür Merkezi, Mimar Sinan Mh. Mimar Sinan Cd. Yıldırım-Bursa, TURKEY by filling in the participation form attached here to or published on the www.yildirim.bel.tr
-The Yıldırım Municipality is not responsible for the loss of or any damage to the work in the period of postage and/or cargo
-The recieved cartoons will not be returned

Beyond the white slate

:Conditions

-The contest is open to professional and amateur artists from around the world older than18 years old

-All work submitted must be completely original and unpublished. Submissions must not be simultaneously participating in any other contest or event

-The concept to develop and theme of La Ciudad de las Ideas are the following

-Each contestant will be able to participate only with three different works (those contestants who send more than 3 works will be disqualified)

-All techniques will be accepted (digital or manual, color or b/w)
-The work may not exceed the following sizes: 22cm x 33cm or a proportional size; and if it is a digital work, the resolution must not be less than 300dpi and no heavier than 10 Megabytes
-If the contestant submits his/her original work, the following information shall be attached in a sealed envelope

-Fill out a form for every work submitted. The resolution must not be less than 300dpi and no more than 10Mb

-The contestant will sign a certification. If the work is sent by means of the form, the contestant should only click on the acceptance box; if the work is physically sent, the contestant should sign and include the following legend

Example: I, (name of the author), certify being the author of the work of the 2013 contest, Ideas Peligrosas, and submit them to the contest of La Ciudad de las Ideas. I, (name of the author), accept, for the simple fact of submitting this work under the terms of the contest, the use of said work for the purposes that are considered appropriate by Poder Cívico A.C.
